Aşkın is considered as a leading representative of the Turkish Violin School internationaly. He has given countless concerts, recitals, lectures, masterclasses in four continents as a violin virtuoso, and a sought after jury member on international violin competitions.

By founding “Cihat Aşkın and Little Friends-CALF project” first initiated in Anatolia, it became one of the most important artist resources of Turkey in the 21st century. We are proud to say that many CALF members are now performing in international music arenas.

In addition to his outstanding artistic merits, Aşkın has contributed to the institutionalization of music in Turkey by leading founder of institutes like İTÜ MİAM (Center for Advanced Studies in Music), Istanbul Chamber Orchestra, Aşkın Akademia, CAKA, Youth Workshops, Aşkın Ensemble and various Music Academies.

Cihat Aşkın is committed to promoting Turkish composers works, and has premiered, broadcasted and recorded many of their works. He has also been making classical music programs for the Turkish Radio and TV Company- TRT- since 2013, a platform, which gives many young talented musicians an opportunity to perform.
